About me

I am a registered social worker who has worked with children and families for over 20 years. I have extensive experience in assessment of child protection and welfare worries, assessment of parenting and family support needs.

I am available to complete independent child welfare assessments in the family law context like Section 32, Section 47 and Section 27 assessments and reports, among others.

I am in the final year of a MSc in Systemic Psychotherapy (family therapy) and  alongside assessment services I am available as an independent Social Worker to provide home based support to families who might be struggling with parts of parenting, family relationships or life stressors.

In my assessment work I hold a collaborative approach and privilege the meaningful participation of children. I work with young people using playful, developmentally appropriate approaches to ensure they have the best opportunity to have their voices heard and to hold influence in the often adult and systems centred worlds that they are part of.

I hold particular experience and skill in case support / consultation, social work practice development and the facilitation of reflective and reflexive spaces for practitioners working in social care.

I have completed the Safe & Together Core Training and held a leading role in the development and production of practice guidance for social workers working with domestic abuse and coercive control. I am available to provide case consultation, specialised assessment, practice review and practice development packages to practitioners and agencies who wish to development their responses to domestic abuse in their particular contexts.

Please do not hesitate to contact me for an initial discussion of how I might support you, your family, your team or agency.
