About me

I am an accredited psychotherapist with the Family Therapy Association of Ireland and the Irish Council for Psychotherapy.

I hold a MSc. in Systemic Psychotherapy from Clanwilliam Institute. In my therapeutic practice with individuals, couples and families I have worked in private therapy practice, in a third level student counselling service, in a sexual abuse service and with families experiencing separation and divorce. Across these work experiences I have worked with a varied range of contexts that led the client or family to therapy including trauma, conflict in relationships, depression, stress, emotional difficulties, parent-child relationship difficulties, marital problems, bereavement, addictions, life transitions and more.

I have extensive experience in my career working with children and adolescents either individually or with their parents. I have strong experience in helping parents talk to their children about things that are happening in their families and supporting relationships and attachment.

I am also a registered social worker who has worked with children and families for over 20 years. I have extensive experience in assessment of parenting and providing support to children and families in crisis.

I am available to complete independent child welfare assessments in the family law context like Section 32, Section 27 and Section 47 assessments and reports, among others.

Please do not hesitate to contact me for an initial discussion of how I might support you, your family, your team or agency.
